Developmental problems in children
Does your child have problems concentrating at school or noticeable difficulties with reading and writing? Has the paediatrician identified a developmental delay during the check-up? Do you have the feeling that your child needs support in their development?
Every child has its own pace of development, but sometimes children find it more difficult to complete a developmental step or it takes them an unusually long time to do so.
This can affect various areas of development, such as motor development. In infants, this can be observed when turning onto their tummy, grasping, sitting, crawling or walking. Later, there may be difficulties in holding pens, eating with cutlery or tying shoes.
But there can also be challenges in language development, for example when children do not start speaking, when they stammer or only speak incomplete sentences at an age when other children can already form complete sentences quite naturally.
It is not uncommon for children to suffer from school difficulties such as concentration problems, reading and writing difficulties, dyscalculia or even dyslexia. Affected children often experience failure, ridicule and poor performance at school, which can also lead to emotional problems such as anxiety, social behaviour problems or even school refusal.
Attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder (ADD or ADHD), which usually begins before the age of six, is characterised by a lack of concentration, increased distractibility and increased impulsivity, sometimes with hyperactivity. The affected children have difficulty maintaining their attention for a specific task over a longer period of time. External stimuli such as the clearing of throats or whispering of classmates are distracting and cannot be filtered out. This makes it difficult to follow the teacher’s explanations. The increased impulsivity is characterised by the motto ‘act first, then (possibly) think’. In the case of hyperactivity, there is excessive motor activity and restlessness that is difficult or impossible to regulate.
Homeopathy for children with developmental problems, Naturamed practice in Unterägeri, Zug.

Developmental delays and disorders in children have increased significantly in recent years. The causes are often a complex interplay of different factors. For example, hereditary predisposition almost always plays a role, which can favour developmental disorders. But environmental influences such as frequent mobile phone use can also have a negative impact on children’s development. Even influences during pregnancy such as medication, alcohol and smoking are possible causes. In addition, developmental disorders are often observed after vaccinations. However, it is often difficult to identify the exact cause.
Homeopathy for developmental abnormalities
Homeopathic treatment is very suitable for children with developmental abnormalities, as children generally respond very well to homeopathy. However, every child is unique. Therefore, treatment is always targeted individually to the child and the child is accompanied and supported at its own pace of development. With homeopathic treatment, your child’s development can be supported very gently and yet profoundly, regardless of whether it is a motor development delay, school difficulties or ADHD. The aim of homeopathic treatment is to address the root cause. By supporting the self-healing powers, your child will regain its balance. The earlier a developmental disorder is recognised and treated, the more stable and self-confident your child will be in life.
There are other measures that are very helpful in supporting children with developmental delays, such as a good supply of vitamin D and omega-3. A wholesome diet with plenty of vegetables and wholemeal cereals is also an important basis for healthy development. Excessive use of digital media, on the other hand, inhibits healthy child development.
